Job Summary
Starks Plumbing and Heating Ltd. is currently hiring Journeyman or highly experienced Apprentices in HVAC / Refrigeration to join our Service Department.
This role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and residential HVAC and refrigeration systems. Work will include servicing a variety of equipment and systems such as:
- MUA units
- Split AC systems
- Chillers
- Boilers
- Heat pumps
- Air handlers
- Controls
You will be working in the field, diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring systems are operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and service calls
- Read and interpret schematics and system layouts
- Complete service documentation and job reports
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues and solutions
- Maintain a high standard of safety and workmanship
Requirements
- Journeyman HVAC/R certification OR highly experienced Apprentice
- HVAC/R service experience (commercial & residential)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Reliable, self-motivated, and a team player
- Valid driver’s license
