Journeyperson & Apprentice Pipefitters

Location: Christina Lake, AB (Camp Provided)

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Duration: 3–4 weeks

Role Overview

Comec Energy Services is seeking skilled Journeyperson and Apprentice Pipefitters for an upcoming turnaround project at Christina Lake. This is a short-term, camp-provided position. They are looking for safety-conscious, hardworking individuals who can execute piping maintenance, modifications, and bolt-up safely and efficiently under tight project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and ISOs to determine layout and work requirements.
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and transition piping systems and supports.
  • Perform bolt-up, blinding, and de-blinding activities safely.
  • Collaborate with other trades on-site to ensure turnaround schedules are met.
  • Adhere strictly to Comec Energy Services' safety policies, site-specific hazards, and permit requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid Provincial or Red Seal Journeyperson Pipefitter certification, or registered Apprentice in good standing.
  • Valid CSO, First Aid, and H2S Alive Certifications.
  • Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications are considered assets.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Strong work ethic and physical ability to perform demanding manual labour in outdoor industrial environments.
