Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook who can cook indian and western food to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with precision and consistency, ensuring a high standard of food quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
- Serving experience is a plus, demonstrating customer-focused service skills
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food presentation and plating techniques
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in dish quality
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
