Overview
The Maintenance Worker (Summer Student) supports the upkeep and appearance of a senior living community, helping create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This temporary summer position is ideal for a student who enjoys hands‑on work, working outdoors, and being part of a team.
This position is supported by the Canada Summer Jobs program, helping create meaningful summer opportunities. Applicant must be between 15 - 30 years of age.

Responsibilities
- Paint hallways, doors, and frames to help maintain a clean, welcoming, and well‑kept environment.
- Work alongside the groundskeeper to maintain and beautify the CV park, including engaging residents and volunteers in gardening activities.
- Assist with day‑to‑day repairs and general maintenance projects throughout the building.
Requirements
- Some experience in general maintenance, repair, or related fields
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Successful candidate will be required to submit a current, clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check no older than 3 months. This cost will be covered by Chinook Village.
