Medical Office Assistant
Location: Medicine Hat, AB
Clinic: Southern Alberta Medical
Southern Alberta Medical is seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. MOAs play a vital role in supporting both patients and physicians by managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient flow, and assisting with clinical needs in a professional, caring environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Welcome, check in, and prepare patients for appointments
· Verify and update patient records in the EMR system
· Assist with scheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups
· Support physicians by preparing documentation and patient information
· Answer phone calls and manage messages professionally
· Assist with vitals or basic patient preparation as needed
· Maintain organized records and support billing processes
· Follow clinic protocols, infection control measures, and confidentiality standards
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Medical Office Assistant Certificate or equivalent education/experience
· High School Diploma required
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
· Computer proficiency; EMR experience an asset
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Compassionate and patient-focused approach
Benefits
· Salary: $44,000 – $55,000 annually

Application question(s):
- This hiring process is for two MOA positions with different physical demands. One requires prolonged standing and walking, while the other requires prolonged sitting.
