Overview
Epic Metal Services is seeking a highly skilled CNC machinist to join our manufacturing team providing a range of CNC Machining services related to a diverse clientele.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating various CNC machines to produce precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming languages, blueprint reading, and mechanical fabrication processes. Proficiency in CNC programming and CAD/CAM software is essential. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing machine efficiency, and ensuring timely production. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, including 5 axis, and CNC lathes, ensuring proper calibration and safety procedures.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM programming software and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and CAD files to produce accurate parts.
- Set up machines by installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to inspect parts for quality control.
- Assist in assembly processes when required using hand and power tools..
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in CNC programming; experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Proficiency with blueprint reading, math and geometry skills for measurements, and the use of calipers or micrometers.
- Knowledge of machining processes including setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of CNC equipment.
- Working knowledge of metals and plastics identification, mechanical properties and machinability.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and assembly processes is advantageous.

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
