4. Technical Skills / Knowledge & Problem Solving:
- Basic observation skills
- Ability to select appropriate production tool(s)
- Mechanical ability – Demonstrates manual dexterity in a variety of production techniques & procedures
- Organizational skills – Performs multiple routine tasks
- Documentation – Maintains production notebooks in accordance with departmental guidelines
- Instruction – Receives detailed instructions on specific assignment objectives and complex features
- Computer skills – Basic computer skills
- Equipment / Maintenance – Performs preventative and basic production equipment maintenance
- Production Techniques – General knowledge of procedures, instruments and production techniques
7. Qualifications:
- Experience operating forklift.
- Be physically able to move/lift heavy bags & boxes.
- One year production experience.
- The ability to recognize areas of potential equipment failure as they develop and prior to catastrophic failure and to report any observations to the Production Supervisor.
- Grade 12 or equivalent math competence.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable means of getting to work.
8. Duties Include but not limited to the following:
- Assist with the preparation, production and packaging of clay products.
- Load and store pallets of clay, equipment, etc. with a forklift.
- Troubleshoot line issues in order to maintain the production & quality levels.
- Suggest & implement improvements to plant methods.
- Perform programmed maintenance of all production equipment and properly record the current state of the work areas on the forms provided by the maintenance department.
- Properly record all relevant production information on the forms provide.
- Other duties associated with manufacturing as assigned.
