Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Relief Milker to support daily operations on our goat dairy. The ideal candidate will assist with milking goats, feeding goats, and cleanup of the parlor and barn. This role does work directly with goats and inside a barn.
Duties
- Milking 200+ goats in a timely and efficient manner. Starting at 6am (weekend shifts open and available) and/or 5pm (Monday to Sunday shifts available). Independently milking, it will take about 2.5-3 hours. More hours available in summer months.
- Keep a close eye on herd health and monitor for any signs of disease or injury.
- Cleanup the parlor once finished. This includes scraping manure, and sweeping. May occasionally involve pressure washing.
- Feed the goats hay, or a dairy ration depending on schedule.
- Seasonally, assist with bottle feeding kids.
- Assist with various other farm chores; as needed.
Requirements
- Experience working with animals; goats and sheep preferred.
- Physical stamina for milking and forking hay.
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach.
- Reliable vehicle to be able to get to the farm; located about 10 minutes outside of Brooks, AB
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to train!

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $15.00-$25.00 per hour
