Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a positive dining experience for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, efficient time management, and a passion for hospitality. Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
- Manage multiple tables with effective time management skills to provide timely service
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems and process payments using POS
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Provide guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive dining experience
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cashiering and bill calculations
- Experience in hospitality or the food industry is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for those new to serving roles
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
