Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Assistant (Part-Time and Full-Time) to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting with product merchandising. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology or retail sales are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Manage cashier duties including processing payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and digital methods
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on product features, especially in technology sales
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone or in person
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and product organization
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage customers effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and pricing calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and merchandising practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities
- Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or online
- Willingness to learn about products and sales techniques, including upselling strategies
- Positive attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
Pay: $15.00-$29.51 per hour
