Position Description
We currently have an exciting role for a Roll-Off Driver to haul waste & recycling in our Medicine Hat & surrounding area.
Position Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive a Roll-Off/ Front load waste or recycling truck as needed.
- Perform pick ups and drop offs in safe and efficient manner.
- Able to lift the roll-off hook to attach and detach the bin.
- Attention to detail in being aware of surroundings at all times in an effort to perform tasks in a safe manner. IE- Power lines, eaves, traffic, etc.
- Perform pre & post trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights and breaks, etc.
- Plan your trip according to the weather conditions.
- Follow safety procedures for transporting materials.
- Maintain Logbooks according to rules and regulations.
- Be versatile and able to perform tasks as needed to aid in the growth of the company.
- Additional duties may be required.
Qualifications
- Class 3 License with air brakes.
- 5 years driving experience preferred.
- Clean drivers abstract, and clean criminal search.
- Clean A&D pre-employment testing.
- Experience in waste is considered an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills.
