Position Overview
We are currently seeking a General Labourer / Forklift Operator to join our fabrication yard team in Medicine Hat. The successful candidate will support daily shop and yard operations, including material handling, general labour, and assisting trades as required. This role is ideal for someone reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to work in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, and organize steel, pipe, and materials in the yard and shop areas
- Assist trades with fabrication setup, cleanup, and movement of materials
- Perform general labour duties including grinding, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Support shipping, receiving, and piece tracking activities
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid forklift or telehandler operator certification
- Previous experience in an industrial or fabrication environment preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors as required
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
