About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable, adaptable, and energetic assistant Groundskeeper to join this new REDIgo division. This entry level position is part-time (minimum of 24 hours per week) and will support the Supervisor in carrying out day-to-day operations, seasonal outdoor work, and routine property maintenance. This position involves physical labour, operating basic equipment, and executing job site tasks safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist with outdoor maintenance, groundskeeping tasks, and general site cleanup
- Perform physically demanding tasks including manual labor, lifting, carrying materials, and operating equipment and tools
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work protocols to maintain a secure environment
- Participate in mandatory workplace safety meetings, complete required training programs, and stay current on operational protocols and equipment certifications.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing helpful assistance and representing REDI positively in the community
- Perform other related assignments, projects, and tasks as required
What you bring
Because seasonal operations are heavily dependent on mother nature, weather plays a huge role in our schedule. Mother Nature doesn't work a strict 9-to-5, and neither do we! We are looking for team members who bring a high degree of flexibility, a great attitude, and readiness to adapt to shifting weather conditions, changing schedules, and varying weekly hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract required
- Current First Aid / CPR Level C Certificate
- Previous related maintenance or groundskeeping experience is preferred; however, a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn on the job are highly valued
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform continuous manual labor
- Strong reliability, punctuality, solid work ethic, and a commitment to taking direction and maintaining safety standards
- Flexibility to work varying hours depending on operational demands or seasonal needs
Pay: From $18.40 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
