ServiceMaster Restore of Medicine Hat is a locally owned restoration company under the ServiceMaster franchise. We are a fast-growing restoration company specializing in water, fire, mold, and structural damage repair. Our team takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a skilled Drywaller who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in restoring homes and businesses to pre-loss condition.
Job Summary
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Install and repair cabinets
- Install base, caseng, and door jambs
- Perform carpentry duties to restore structures to previous condition. Candidate must have an eye for detail and be a problem solver
- Install insulation and vapor barrier
- Perform taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish
- Repair damaged drywall resulting from water, fire, or structural issues
- Apply and match texture to ceiling
- Prime and paint finished surfaces
- Work closely with restoration technicians, project managers, and other trades
- Assisting emergency crew and participating in an on-call rotation
- Ensure all work meets company standards and industry best practices
- Basic knowledge in plumbing and electrical
- Must know safety and building codes
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
Requirements
- Must reside in Medicine Hat, AB
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Provide a criminal record check and be bondable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in carpentry work
- Ability to follow blueprints and construction plans
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Physically capable of lifting 50lbs and adhere to safe work practices
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call when required
- Basic personal tools preferred
