Description

Terralta is looking for a dynamic individual seeking a career as a Safety Coordinator with opportunities for growth. We are a leader in the Green Energy Industry with projects throughout Southern Alberta and beyond. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe work environment within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Put into practice our established HSE related policies & procedures.
  • Review our current HSE policies & procedures to help develop revisions and/or additions for implementation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of various work sites to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation and corrective measures.
  • Perform investigations of near misses, incidents, and accidents.
  • Create weekly toolbox meeting topics and write-ups.
  • Provide onboarding and safety training to employees.
  • Maintenance and review of safety documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders (employees, management, clients, etc.) to address safety concerns.
  • Stay up to date on industry safety standards.
  • Frequent travel to various work sites.
  • Other tasks relating to employee administration as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience in construction safety administration or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable knowledge of construction management or related software.
  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Occupational First Aid Certification.
  • Valid Class 5, non-GDL license with clean driver abstract.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
