Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout your shift
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
- Assist with food handling tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team with basic food prep or ingredient setup
- Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and recycling to uphold environmental standards
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and maintaining hygiene protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders
- Adhere to safety guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not required—enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and food handling safety practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending comfortably
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all dishes are spotless and equipment is properly maintained
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to support the busy kitchen environment
- Basic knowledge of hospitality or food service operations is a plus but not mandatory
