As a Facility Worker I – Building Services, you'll play an important role in maintaining City facilities that support employees, residents, and visitors. What you'll do

  • Help ensure City facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for employees, visitors, and the public.
  • Contribute to clean, well-maintained environments that support a positive customer experience.
  • Identify and address facility issues proactively to help prevent service disruptions and maintain operational excellence.
  • Respond to occupant and customer needs in a professional, timely, and service-focused manner.
  • Support the safety and security of facilities through routine monitoring and adherence to established procedures.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of events, facility moves, and operational activities through dependable support.
  • Help maintain attractive outdoor spaces that reflect pride in the community.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum six (6) months of experience in building maintenance and/or custodial work.
  • Current Emergency First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability and willingness to obtain certification.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence with the ability to maintain it.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • This position has been identified as Safety Sensitive and requires the completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen, which includes testing for cannabis use.
