Full Time Line Cook

Papi's Country Kitchen is currently seeking Full Time Line Cooks

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining consistency, quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with food prep including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portioning ingredients, and stocking stations before service.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including work stations, equipment, coolers, and storage areas throughout shift.
• Communicate effectively with Kitchen Staff and Front of House team to ensure accurate and efficent order flow during service.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock, shortages, or product concerns.
• Properly operate kitchen equipment including grilles, fryers, ovens, slicers, and prep equipment in a safe manner.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and storing products following FIFO procedures.
• Work effciently under pressure during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
• Ensure Dishes leaving the kitchen meet company standards for taste, apperance, and portioning.
• Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties including cleaning, restocking, and preparing for the next shift.

Requirements:

• Previous Cooking Experience is Required
• Must reside in the Medicine Hat Alberta area. Any out of country/ province applications will be rejected.
• Must be availble to work Full Time hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed on a flexible schedule.
• Strong communication & team work skills in a fast paced environment.
• Well organized, able to multi task & self motivated.
• Food Safety Certification is considered an asset.
• Abillity to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when required.
• Must Maintain a positive attitude and professional apperance during shifts.

Working Conditions:

• Must be availble to work Full Time hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed on a flexible schedule.
• Fast paced Kitchen Environment with exposure to heat, kitchen equipment, and busy service periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 Ibs
• Must have apropiate Non- Slip shoes
