Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and renovation tasks across multiple residential properties. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in general maintenance, with strengths in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, or siding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on residential properties
- Troubleshoot and fix issues related to plumbing, carpentry, siding, and other building systems
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure properties remain in good condition
- Assist with property renovations and upgrades as needed
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and organized manner
- Communicate effectively with management and tenants regarding repairs and timelines
- Conduct work in a professional and respectful manner while inside tenants’ homes
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a related field
- Knowledge or experience in plumbing, carpentry, siding, or similar trades preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Work Environment:
This position requires working in occupied residential properties. Professionalism, respect, and cleanliness are essential when interacting with tenants and working in their homes.
Additional Opportunity:
We are also open to hiring motivated young men and women who are looking to gain hands-on experience in property maintenance. Entry-level candidates will start at $18/hour and receive on-the-job training to develop valuable skills in the trade.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
