Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling to ensure timely service and high-quality dishes
- Support cooking processes by following recipes and safety guidelines under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Help with food storage, labeling, and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure freshness
- Serve prepared dishes to customers or assist in plating for presentation purposes
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling practices
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards within the food industry
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues and customers
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Previous kitchen experience or related food industry knowledge is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Current food handlers certificate required
