Overview
Altawana Express is currently seeking a Furniture Mover / Driver to join our team.
The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:
- Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License (No-GDL).
- Minimum of three years of experience operating a 5-ton, 26ft truck.
- Ability to provide a current driver’s abstract.
- Ability to perform heavy, repetitive lifting.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Proven record of reliability.
The starting wage is $24 to $26 per hour, with increases based on experience, plus tips.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport items between locations
- Load and unload goods using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies when necessary
- Ensure all items are secured properly during transit to prevent damage
- Assist customers with the moving process, providing friendly and professional service
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in moving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - must provide a drivers abstract
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regulary
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
