S3 Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Payroll, AccountingHuman Resources Administrator to join our team.

This is a diverse role for someone who enjoys working across payroll, accounting, and human resources. The successful candidate will take responsibility for bi-weekly payroll for our Canadian entities while supporting day-to-day accounting and HR administration across the organization.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while handling sensitive employee and financial information with professionalism and discretion.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for Canadian entities, including employee deductions, regular and overtime calculations, remittances, and reconciliation of employee time data
  • Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable federal and provincial legislation and employment standards
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries, accruals, and monthly account reconciliations
  • Prepare annual T4s and WCB filings
  • Maintain HR documentation and employee files
  • Assist with the administration of the company benefits program
  • Support immigration processes for new employees coming to Canada
  • Track performance evaluations, service awards, and other employee programs to support adherence to company policies
  • Assist with reviewing, monitoring, and auditing HR systems and procedures
  • Prepare monthly HR metrics and reports
  • Assist with WCB filings and claims management
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and on time
  • Complete cheque runs and prepare monthly journal entries
  • Work closely with Finance, Human Resources, management, and employees across the organization
  • Perform additional accounting, payroll, and HR duties as required

What You Bring

  • A minimum of three years of business experience
  • A minimum of three years of payroll experience
  • Canadian payroll designation or related payroll education is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage a wide range of responsibilities and competing priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience working with accounting and/or payroll software
  • Experience with MAX MRP and QuickBooks is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A positive, cooperative approach to working as part of a team
  • Professionalism and discretion when working with confidential employee and financial information
