Responsibilities:
- As part of your role, you will assist our clients in completing their tax returns using Intuit's TurboTax software. By providing tax advice, reviewing personal tax returns for self-filing clients, offering a full tax preparation service, and handling product and software inquiries, you will help accelerate our goal of contributing to prosperity worldwide.
- You will use government websites, professional resources and your team's expertise to find and provide the right answer to the client in terms they will understand.
- This is a virtual, client-facing role. You will use our state-of-the-art video communication software to interact with clients and will document your interactions to maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products. By providing tax guidance and reviewing personal tax returns for customers completing their tax return on their own, full service return preparation, and managing product/software inquiries, you will be working toward accelerating our goal of Powering Prosperity Around the World.
- You will utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer in terms they will understand.
- This is a virtual, customer-facing role, so you will use our state of the art video communication software to interact with customers, and you will document your interactions to maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
- As a tax expert, you have at least 2 years of paid experience in preparing tax returns.

- You will be asked to provide your CRA Rep ID (Representative Identifier) to enable you to use the CRA Represent a Client service after your onboarding.
- You have experience using professional tax software to prepare and file personal income tax returns, including returns with complex elements such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135 forms, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
- You are passionate about helping clients navigate the complexities of taxation, and want to enhance our brand by impressing our clients and empowering them to prepare their tax returns.
- You possess excellent customer service skills and are enthusiastic about interacting with customers using video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- You must be available to work a flexible schedule for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- As a Tax Expert, you have a minimum of 2+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience.

Qualifications that would be an asset:
- Experience in preparing corporate income tax returns (T2).
- Experience in preparing Quebec income tax returns (TP1).
Asset Qualifications:
- Experience preparing Business Tax (T2) Returns.
- Experience preparing Quebec Tax (TP1) Returns.

- Tax expertise: fundamental understanding of tax laws and concepts. Proven ability to seek additional learning opportunities to increase knowledge and stay informed about year-to-year tax changes.

Intuit offers a competitive compensation program based on a performance-based rewards approach. The base salary range for this position is $24.22/hour to $30.95/hour in Ontario, $24.22/hour to $30.95/hour in Prince Edward Island, $24.22/hour to $30.95/hour in British Columbia, and $24.22/hour to $30.95/hour in Nova Scotia. This position is eligible for a cash bonus, stock option rewards, and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see Intuit®: Careers | Benefits for more details on our compensation and benefits). Compensation is determined based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. To ensure ongoing pay equity, Intuit conducts regular comparisons based on ethnicity and gender categories.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Ontario $24.22/hour - $30.95/hour, PEI $24.22/hour - $30.95/hour, BC $24.22/hour - $30.95/hour, Nova Scotia $24.22/hour - $30.95/hour. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
