About Us
Bad Guy Motors Inc. is one of Medicine Hat's premier automotive fabrication and diesel performance shops. We design and build custom parts and deliver diesel performance and mechanical work to a high standard. We are hiring a Service Writer to be the link between our customers and our shop floor.
The Role
The Service Writer owns the customer experience from the first phone call to final invoice. You keep jobs moving, customers informed, and the shop organized.
Responsibilities:
- Write up repair orders and build accurate estimates
- Communicate with customers on diagnosis, approvals, timelines, and cost
- Schedule work and coordinate job flow with technicians
- Manage jobs in our shop management software (ShopMonkey)
- Create purchase orders, source parts, and enter supplier invoices
- Invoice customers and follow up on outstanding payment
- Answer phones and monitor the main email account, responding or forwarding in a timely manner
- Support warranty claims and follow-up as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Automotive or diesel knowledge (strong asset)
- Customer service experience
- Organized, able to prioritize and handle a busy shop
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Dependable and reliable
- Class 5 driver's licence
Compensation
$19 - $24 per hour, based on experience. Full or part time.
