Full job description

Terralta is a multi-service solar and electrical contractor seeking a motivated and hardworking Solar Installer to join our team. Based out of Medicine Hat, Alberta, this full-time permanent position involves installing residential, commercial, and agricultural solar energy systems throughout Southern Alberta. This role involves working outdoors, at heights, and as part of a collaborative team dedicated to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Install solar mounting systems, racking, and PV modules.
• Assist with electrical and mechanical aspects of solar installations.
• Work safely at heights and follow all site safety procedures.
• Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and professional worksite.
• Travel to project locations throughout Southern Alberta.
• Communicate effectively with your supervisors and coworkers.

Mandatory Certifications:

• CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015
• Fall Protection

Additional Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Ability to work comfortably at heights.
• First aid an asset but not required
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment and materials.
• Construction experience is considered an asset.
• Solar installation experience is an asset but not required.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
