Contract Length: July 27, 2026-March 31, 2027
Location: Medicine Hat, AB – Palliser Primary Care Network Central Office
Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver who loves turning clunky processes into smooth, reliable ones? We're looking for a sharp and personable Technical Coordinator to join our team on a temporary basis, through March 2027. If you're just as comfortable troubleshooting equipment as you are training a room full of colleagues on a new workflow, this may be the role for you. You'll be diving into projects spanning in-clinic patient education technology, virtual classroom learning, and website upkeep, all within a collaborative healthcare setting.
Bring your curiosity and knack for clear communication to our team and help us build technical processes that are efficient, reliable, and easy for our staff to use. Strong problem-solving skills and solid computer proficiency are requirements for this position.
Overview: The Technical Coordinator's primary functions include assessing and improving the technology and processes PCN Central Office relies on for in-clinic patient education, classroom virtual learning, collaboration, and meeting activities. This includes reviewing current technology and workflows, designing and testing improvements, and documenting and training PCN Central Office team members on enhanced processes. The role also supports computer equipment inventory and evergreening, helps maintain and update the PCN website for security and functionality, and provides general IT support and troubleshooting as needed. Additionally, the Technical Coordinator will provide added support to the PCN Central Office Team as required.
Experience:
- Diploma or degree in computer science, technology or a related field, or equivalent experience, required.
- Experience in technical consulting, quality improvement, project management, adult education, facilitation and a knowledge of Alberta’s healthcare system are definite assets.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated initiative to maintain and improve professional growth and development as well as modeling this to others.
- Excellent networking and facilitation skills.
*Must have own vehicle which will be used to transport resources to employees, workshops, and to purchase/pick up supplies.*
