Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of Public Health, Primary Care and Disease Management (South), this position is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative and operational support across the portfolio. The role supports the Director, Managers, Senior Planner, and administrative staff, ensuring coordinated and efficient system and program operations. Key responsibilities include coordinating special projects and supporting internal and external communications at both the provincial level and with regional stakeholders across the South. The position also serves as a key resource for Managers and their teams. Acting as a central point of contact, this role supports collaboration and communication for public health, primary care, and chronic disease management teams within PCA South.

As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an Office Administration Diploma Program or Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with three to five years of varied and progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Previous experience mentoring and supporting peers, sharing best practices, and fostering a collaborative work culture. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, including prioritization, multitasking, and managing competing demands. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement and resourcefulness. to identify practical solutions. Ability to work independently with minimal direction, take initiative, and remain self-directed while balancing multiple priorities. Demonstrated flexibility and resiliency to adapt to changing organizational priorities and demands. Demonstrated experience coordinating and chairing meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, action tracking, and follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Familiar with collective agreements of and the Non-Union Exempt (NUEE) Terms and Conditions of Employment. Experience with quality improvement methodologies. Strong interpersonal skills.
