Full job description

We’re looking for a Labourer to join our Deep Utilities Department. Competitive compensation up to $25 per hour is commensurate with the experience of the successful applicant.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role;
• Install PVC, concrete, HDPE piping material;
• Install manholes, catch basins;
• Be willing to attest to their physical fitness;
• Be able to take direction;
• Be flexible and function effectively with others or alone;
• Ensure materials are properly bedded;
• Knowledgeable in the use of lasers, grade rods or transit levels;
• Understand elevations and grading.
• Have knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.

Safety Tickets (e.g. Class 1, Ground Disturbance, Confined Space Entry, H2S, First Aid) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

• Maintain the equipment and tools in good condition.
• Perform all tasks associated with deep utility services including, but not limited to

- Operating the equipment,
- Shoveling,
- Work long hours
- Lifting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
