Job Summary
Are you someone who loves bringing thoughtful design to life with precision and care? We’re looking for a Drafter who is both technically skilled and creatively driven to join our supportive, fast-paced team.
In this role, you’ll create clear, accurate residential drawings that are essential to the success of our construction and renovation projects. From designing to estimating, your work will help guide each stage of the process, ensuring every detail is considered.
This is a collaborative position, where strong communication and a proactive approach are valued. You’ll be working closely with clients, trades, and other team members to ensure every project runs smoothly and reflects the vision behind it.
Duties
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, Sketchup, Buildertrend, and Microsoft excel to create precise technical drawings, plans and quotations.
- Draft detailed layouts for buildings, infrastructure for residential construction with accuracy and care.
- Collaborate with project teams to produce and understand design requirements and make necessary adjustments to drawings.
- Prepare presentation materials, including 3D models using Sketchup for client meetings.
- Ensure all drafts comply with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions for easy access by team members.
- Estimating take offs
Requirements
- Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Degree or certification in drafting, architecture, engineering technology, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
