Home Care Support Worker

Position Summary

Serenity Care Services Inc is seeking reliable and compassionate Home Care Support Workers to provide personalized, in-home care to clients. In this role, you will support individuals with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. Our clients include seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning (including use of proper lifting techniques)
• Administer medications as directed and observe/report any health changes
• Prepare meals based on client dietary needs and assist with feeding when required
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment (light housekeeping and laundry)
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful daily activities
• Accurately document care provided and communicate updates with families and care teams
• Support clients with dementia or cognitive challenges using appropriate care approaches
• Provide comfort-focused care for clients with complex or end-of-life needs

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings is preferred
• Experience supporting seniors or individuals with disabilities is an asset
• Knowledge of medication assistance and basic caregiving practices is beneficial
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting and transfers
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
