Volker Stevin’s Heavy Equipment Operators support a wide range of civil construction and infrastructure work, including earthworks, road building, utilities, and site development. Based on experience and qualifications, candidates may be considered for one or more of the following roles:

• Dozer Operator
• Excavator Operator
• Mainline Excavator Operator
• Tractor Backhoe Operator
• Rock Truck Operator
• Grader Operator
• Tandem Dump Truck Operator

Operators are responsible for the safe, efficient, and productive operation of assigned equipment while maintaining grade, line, and quality standards in support of project requirements.

• Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
• Safely operate heavy equipment in accordance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and OH&S regulations
• Read and interpret grades, stakes, and plans to complete work accurately
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Work closely with supervisors, ground personnel, and other operators to maintain productivity and workflow
• Operate equipment in tight or congested work areas while maintaining situational awareness• Identify and report mechanical issues, hazards, or unsafe conditions
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Support newer operators or crew members where applicable
• Actively contribute to Volker Stevin’s strong safety culture
