Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring hospice or dementia care. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive caregiving and support.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring
• Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Help clients with light housekeeping and cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
• Assist with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safety during transfers or repositioning
• Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being
• Follow care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia or hospice care protocols
• Document care provided accurately and report any concerns to supervising staff

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, home care, or hospice care is preferred
• Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, working with individuals with disabilities, and caregiving best practices
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility needs
• Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is required
• Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
