Position Summary

The Production & Logistics Support is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the production plant by coordinating production activities, inventory management, order dispatching, logistics, quality control, regulatory compliance, and health & safety requirements.

This role acts as a key operational link between production, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and administration to ensure efficient plant operations and timely fulfillment of customer orders.

The successful candidate must be highly organized, hands-on, adaptable, and willing to actively support plant operations, including loading/offloading trucks, warehouse organization, production assistance, and general plant maintenance duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

Production Coordination & Administration

  • Support daily production scheduling and workflow coordination.
  • Assist the Production Manager in monitoring production targets and operational priorities.
  • Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and operational reports.
  • Coordinate communication between production, warehouse, logistics, and management teams.
  • Track raw material usage, finished goods output, and production performance metrics.
  • Assist in developing and improving operational procedures and efficiencies.

Logistics & Order Dispatch

  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and dispatching of customer orders.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, packing slips, and related records.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with freight carriers and suppliers.
  • Ensure outgoing shipments are accurate, complete, and dispatched on time.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.
  • Monitor incoming raw material deliveries and verify received quantities.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or supply concerns.
  • Support inventory organization and warehouse optimization.
  • Assist with material handling and storage procedures.

Quality Control (QC)

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections of raw materials and finished products.
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintain QC records, documentation, and traceability requirements.
  • Identify and report quality issues or production inconsistencies.

Regulatory Compliance & Health and Safety

  • Support compliance with applicable manufacturing, environmental, transportation, and workplace regulations.
  • Maintain production and safety documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with workplace inspections, hazard identification, and corrective actions.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices within the plant.
  • Participate in health and safety meetings, training, and audits.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to plant safety protocols.

Plant Operations Support

  • Provide hands-on operational support across production and warehouse activities.
  • Assist with equipment cleaning, organization, and basic maintenance coordination.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of production and warehouse areas.
  • Perform additional production, warehouse, and operational duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, or industrial operations.
  • Experience with inventory management and shipping coordination.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
  • Forklift certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience in agriculture, fertilizer, chemical, industrial, or bulk material handling environments is an asset.

· Location: Brooks, AB

· Health Insurance after 3 month.

· 2 weeks Vacation.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
