Summary
SF Scott Manufacturing's Shipping and Receiving Clerk position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth handling of goods from our production lines to the final distribution. Based in Medicine Hat, this role supports our mission to deliver excellence in every product we provide.
Responsibilities
SF Scott Manufacturing's Shipping and Receiving Clerk will:
¨ Support the Quality System through example,
¨ Participate in the internal audit process as required,
¨ Provide daily work lists to shipping employees,
¨ Ensure accuracy of orders,
¨ Ensure safe work practices are in place and followed,
¨ Organize inventory and ensure minimum stock levels are maintained,
¨ Receive and inspect incoming raw materials and supplies,
¨ Sign required documents for incoming and outgoing goods,
¨ Supplying freight rates to distributors and end use customers,
¨ Organizing pick-up and delivery of goods,
¨ Ensure proper documents and labels are available at time of shipment,
¨ Ensuring all equipment in the Shipping and Receiving Department is maintained and operated safely,
¨ Identify, segregate and fill out NCR’s for nonconforming products,
¨ Providing support for the contract review process as required,
¨ Providing input to the continuous improvement process,
¨ Inform department supervisors of required parts, problems and concerns,
¨ Determine dimensions for shipments (from small individual pieces to large playground units),
¨ Ensure freight quotes updated prior to pick up by freight carrier,
¨ Process freight invoices troubleshooting for solution when there is a discrepancy between invoice and quote,
¨ Bill of ladings
¨ Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work area,
¨ Other tasks as assigned by the President.
- Qualifications
An approved Alberta Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Strong computer skills, excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
A recognized Office Management Certificate
1-2 years manufacturing experience

· Stand for long periods of time
· Lifting 50 pounds carrying it 50 feet
· Follow all safety procedures/ emergency procedures

· Grade 12 Diploma
· Valid driver’s license
· Understand English
· Pay attention to detail

Pay: $19.57-$21.00 per hour
