Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems efficiently and safely, ensuring high-quality workmanship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to renewable energy projects while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The Solar Installer must possess a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience operating various types of heavy equipment and hand tools. Responsibilities
- Install solar panels, racking systems, and electrical components according to project specifications and safety standards
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to facilitate installation processes
- Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, wiring, and securing solar components
- Perform site assessments and prepare the installation area, including excavation and groundwork as needed
- Connect low voltage electrical systems safely and accurately
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting post-installation to verify proper operation
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in installing or maintaining electrical or mechanical systems
- Experience operating excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, cranes, or other heavy equipment such as welding tools and rigging gear
- Electrical experience related to low voltage wiring or electrical systems is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and safety procedures in construction or industrial settings
- Prior work involving low voltage electrical systems or renewable energy projects is a plus
- Ability to work at heights using bucket trucks or scaffolding safely
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in installation tasks

Pay: $25.00-$34.74 per hour
