Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Jr Order Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering and processing orders within our database systems. This role requires strong clerical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced office environment. The Order Entry Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining accurate records and facilitating smooth order processing.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter customer orders into the database systems, ensuring all information is complete and correct.
  • This position provides administrative support functions to the order entry team.
  • Entering large amounts of fabric orders from sales reps, customers and stores in our Inventory Software.
  • Filing, organizing files and collecting data to be entered into the computer.
  • Checking back orders and stock availability.
  • Position also involves taking phone orders, dealing with customers over both email and the phone and liaison with sales representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while handling sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel,).
  • Demonstrate efficiency and sharp attention to accuracy when working with high volume, repetitive data entry - Keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze situations and problem solve.
  • Highly motivated and previous experience working independently and as part of a team

Experience

  • Data Entry experience is essential
  • Accounting/financial background is a bonus
  • On the job training will be provided but previous administrative support experience is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Familiarity with data collection processes and computerized systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
