Heavy Metal Infrastructure (HMI), a division of Heavy Metal Equipment & Rentals, is hiring 4th Year Apprentice and Experienced Red Seal / Journeyman Commercial & Industrial Carpenters to join our growing team in the Fort McMurray / Wood Buffalo Region.

The Opportunity
Rotation: 20 days on / 10 days off
Hours: 11-hour shifts
Location: Fort McMurray / Wood Buffalo Region
Camp Accommodations: Provided
Flights & Transportation: Provided
Compensation & Perks

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Carpenter with Heavy Metal, you’ll play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality work across a variety of industrial projects.
Your day-to-day work may include:
- Concrete formwork and framing
- Doors, hardware, and millwork installation
- Interior and exterior finishing work
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Maintaining clean and organized worksites
- Completing hazard assessments and following safe work practices
- Working collaboratively with crews, supervisors, and clients

What We’re Looking For
- 4th Year Apprentice / Red Seal / Journeyman Carpenter certification
- Experience with concrete forming, framing, doors, and hardware
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong understanding of carpentry methods and construction practices
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment
- Experience operating equipment is considered an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture
Hiring Requirements
As part of the hiring process, successful candidates will be required to:
- Provide a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Complete a criminal record check
- Complete drug & alcohol testing
- Complete a position-related fitness evaluation
- Provide applicable certifications and training records
