Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Cannabis Budtender to join our team. This role involves assisting customers in selecting cannabis products, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with all legal and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for the industry, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. Multilingual abilities and prior experience in retail sales or hospitality are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their preferences and needs
- Provide detailed product information, including effects, dosages, and consumption methods
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales and security procedures
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, addressing questions about products, usage, and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the retail space and adhere to health and safety standards
- Document transactions accurately using computer operation skills such as Microsoft Office or Excel as needed
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities including French or other languages are a plus
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele
- Proficiency in retail sales techniques, POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management
- Familiarity with computer operation, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), filing, and organizational skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for stock movement or display setup
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and effective upselling strategies
- Time management skills to handle multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Leadership qualities to support team collaboration when required

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
