Job Summary

Duties
- Assist with menu planning to meet dietary needs and preferences, ensuring variety and nutritional balance
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals following established recipes and safety guidelines
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Support dietary department activities by organizing ingredients, equipment, and supplies for meal service
- Contribute to food presentation by plating dishes attractively and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including utensils, appliances, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with catering events or special meal requests as needed, providing excellent service from setup to cleanup
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary or dietary aide roles within healthcare or similar settings preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety standards
- Skilled in food handling techniques including knife skills and portion control
- Experience with food service operations such as catering or serving large groups is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
