KidsPlay Preschool is looking for a caring , energetic experienced Educational Assistant to join our amazing team! If you are passionate about helping children learn and grow while working alongside a supportive group of educators, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Details:
As an Educational Assistant, you will work alongside our teaching team to support preschool-aged children in their daily learning, play, routines and social-emotional development. This role requires someone who is confident, proactive and able to provide consistent guidance and support to children with a variety of needs and abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in implementing daily programming
- Assist children during learning activities, play, meals, transitions and outdoor time
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Use positive behavior guidance strategies to support children's emotional regulation and social development
- Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to ensure consistency and teamwork
- Developing & implementing activities and strategies to address individual service plan goals (ISP)
- Organizing and preparing daily plans/strategies for children to address their individual needs (ie. - visual schedules, sensory breaks, classroom modifications etc.)
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications and Requirements:
- level 1, 2 or 3 Early Childhood Educator Certificate
- Current First Aid
- Current Criminal Record Check (including vulnerable sector check)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
