Job Title: Food Counter Attendant / Cook – A&W
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and motivated Food Counter Attendants / Cooks to join our A&W team. These roles involve preparing food, assisting customers at the counter, and helping maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment. We are currently hiring for two part-time positions with different availability requirements.
Position 1 – Morning / Day Availability (Part-Time 20–30 hours/week)
Ideal for early risers or those looking for daytime hours.
Required availability:
- 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM shifts
- Some flexibility to work 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts is an asset
- Weekend availability required
Position 2 – Afternoon / Evening Availability (Part-Time ~20 hours/week)
Ideal for someone looking for evening hours.
Required availability:
- 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shifts
- Ability to occasionally start at 11:00 AM is an asset (flexible)
- Weekend availability required
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to A&W standards and recipes.
- Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system.
- Assemble and package food orders accurately and efficiently.
- Complete opening or closing duties depending on shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, counter, and dining area.
- Follow all food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Restock food items, packaging, and supplies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to provide fast and friendly service.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or kitchen experience is an asset but not required (training provided).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be able to work the availability required for the position applying for.
Schedule
- Part-time (20–30 hours depending on position)
- Morning, day, or evening shifts available
- Weekend availability required
