Dry Cleaning Presser & Wash and Fold Attendant

Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Dry Cleaning Presser / Wash & Fold Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for pressing and finishing garments, processing wash-and-fold orders, and ensuring all clothing is cleaned, properly finished, packaged, and ready for customers.
Previous experience in dry cleaning, laundry, garment pressing, or textile care is an asset, but training may be provided to the right candidate.
Key ResponsibilitiesDry Cleaning & Pressing
- Operate pressing equipment and steam equipment safely and efficiently.
- Press and finish shirts, pants, jackets, dresses, uniforms, and other garments.
- Inspect garments for stains, damage, missing buttons, or other issues before and after processing.
- Follow garment care labels and company procedures.
- Ensure garments are properly shaped, wrinkle-free, and presented to a high standard.
- Perform spot cleaning and minor garment finishing as required.
- Handle delicate and specialty garments with appropriate care.
- Maintain a clean and organized pressing and production area.
Wash & Fold
- Sort laundry according to colour, fabric type, and washing requirements.
- Operate commercial washers and dryers according to company procedures.
- Measure and use appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning products.
- Inspect finished laundry for cleanliness and quality.
- Fold clothing neatly and consistently.
- Package and label completed orders accurately.
- Keep customer orders organized and prevent loss or mix-ups.
Quality Control & Safety
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Handle steam, heat, chemicals, and equipment safely.
- Report damaged garments, equipment problems, or safety concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the work area.
- Follow company quality-control standards and production procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in dry cleaning, laundry, pressing, or garment care is an asset.
- Good attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move laundry bags or garments as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures.
- Good communication skills.
Physical Requirements
This position requires:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Repetitive pressing, folding, sorting, and handling of garments.
- Frequent use of hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and carry laundry bags and garment bundles.
- Working around heat, steam, commercial laundry equipment, and cleaning products.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will work in a professional dry-cleaning and laundry production environment. The position may involve exposure to heat, steam, noise, and cleaning chemicals. Proper training and safety procedures will be provided.
