Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to a female client with dementia in her home. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our client by delivering personalized care and support tailored to her unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to client in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Engage the client in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for the client, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Some meal preparation and assisting with meals.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client behavior to the appropriate personnel.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is highly desirable, but will provide training.
- Familiarity with dementia care and patient care practices is a plus.
- Experience with home care services or working with persons with disabilities will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- A caring attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
