We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Associate CPA to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Principals and professional staff to deliver accurate financial reporting, tax preparation, auditing, and compliance services.
With offices in Medicine Hat, AB and Swift Current, SK, EBT has been serving clients for over 50 years. As a full‑service firm, we support a diverse portfolio of personal and business clients with bookkeeping, accounting, taxation, and advisory services. Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities
- Corporate Year‑End & Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements and working papers
- Conduct file reviews and ensure GAAP compliance
- Support Principals with financial analysis and decision‑making
Tax & Financial Planning
- Prepare and file personal and corporate tax returns
- Assist with tax planning and compliance for a range of clients
Audits & Compliance
- Conduct audits and internal reviews
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
Collaboration & Advisory
- Stay current on tax law, accounting standards, and industry regulations
- Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and best‑practice implementation
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor CPA students and support their development
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Robust client‑relations and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with CaseWare, Taxprep, Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Education & Experience
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax (public practice preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge in Canadian accounting and tax standards
