Responsibilities
- Select, cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to established standards and customer specifications
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely, stored properly, and maintained at appropriate temperatures
- Package meat products efficiently while maintaining presentation quality and adhering to food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide recommendations, and deliver excellent customer service
- Follow all food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and uphold quality standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation or butchery, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and proper food handling procedures
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Ability to operate knives, saws, scales, and other butchery tools safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for precise cutting and packaging
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Kitchen experience or training in food preparation is a plus but not mandatory
