Job Description:
· Generates production plans/schedules to meet customer ship dates
· Drives production output to meet monthly sales goals
· Monitors production capacity and occupancy and makes recommendations for manpower requirements
· Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
· Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes
· Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
· Evaluates employee performance and prepares/conducts direct report’s periodic performance evaluations
· Monitors tooling inventory including machine tools, hand tools, abrasives, and measuring devices, etc.
· Ensures all associates follow safe work practices as outlined by the Company’s Health & Safety Manual and OH&S Legislation, lead by example
· Assists in inventory cycle counting and semi/annual physical inventory counts
· Identifies improvement opportunities within departments, develops and implements continuous improvement activities
· Monitors operating costs in the department including materials usage, overtime, plant supplies and adjusts to meet budgetary goals
· Ensure quality standards are met and communicate with team when mistakes are made
· Ensure that housekeeping standards are conducive to efficient and safe activities and production
Required skills and qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field
· Proven success in a managerial role
· Strong decision- making ability
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
· Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
· Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
· Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
