Overview
Darts Artisan Woodwork & Renovations Ltd. is a woman-founded, family-owned, steadily growing renovation company serving Medicine Hat, Redcliff and all surrounding areas.

We are looking for a skilled tradesperson to join our current team of 3, and help us to expand our job scope and timelines. Currently we specialize in interior renovations including but not limited to full kitchens, bathrooms, tile work, flooring, trim and painting.

*Please note that our company employs and trains carpentry apprentices, so patience and the ability to teach and share your knowledge are very important to us!

Duties

• Perform tile laying with precision
• Installation of cabinets, flooring, tile (backsplash/floors/showers), trim work, painting, woodworking, furniture refinishing.
• Installation of windows of doors
• Exterior work including fences, decks, siding etc.
• Conduct restoration work including surface repairs and refinishing
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with construction estimating by providing accurate measurements and material needs
• Apply caulking, painting, siding, and other finishing techniques to complete projects
• Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction sites while maintaining safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and quality standards are met
• Share any knowledge you have with our apprentices when relevant to the project

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction trades such as carpentry, interior renovations (ie. paint, flooring, trim, tile etc).
• Steel-toed shoes, as well as inside-only shoes
• Basic tools - bonus points if you can also provide your own basic power tools (ie. circ saw, multi-tool, drills)
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Knowledge of tile laying is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in physically demanding environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• A great attitude and a love for the trade!

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
