Description
Full job description
About BGM Bad Guy Motors is a custom automotive fabrication shop based in Medicine Hat. We build hard-hitting, purpose-built accessories for trucks and work vehicles, and we're growing. We're not a production line, we're a craft shop with high standards and a reputation to match.
The Role We're looking for a fabricator to join our team, including our Research & Development crew. You'll be building custom automotive accessories from concept to completion, not just running the same bead all day. If you like solving problems in metal and want a hand in developing new products, this is the job.
What You'll Be Doing
- MIG and TIG welding on custom fabrication projects
- Building custom automotive accessories including bumpers, sliders, and specialty components
- Contributing to R&D on new product designs and builds
- Reading and working from drawings and specs
- Maintaining quality and fit standards on every piece
What We're Looking For
- Solid MIG welding skills (required)
- TIG welding experience (strong asset)
- Some background in custom fabrication or similar hands-on metalwork
- Problem solver who doesn't need everything handed to them
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
What You Get
- $20-$40/hr based on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- A shop that builds real product, not just repairs it
Pay: $20.00-$45.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Medicine Hat, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Application question(s):
- Describe your MIG and TIG welding experience. What materials have you welded, what thicknesses, and in what types of environments or applications?
- What is your experience with sheet metal fabrication? Walk us through the types of materials, gauges, and techniques you have worked with.
- Describe your experience with custom fabrication. What types of custom projects have you built, and what was your specific role in the process?
- Do you currently hold an active apprenticeship in a welding trade, or do you hold a Journeyperson certificate in welding? If so, please specify the trade and your current level or certification status.
Work Location: In person
